Storyboards

The following are samples of storyboards that my past students have completed for various projects.  Storyboarding involves drawing out a visual representation of how the action of the movie would progress.  Stick figures and blocks are all that are needed to help conceptualize how the director wants the action to move within the camera.  Dialogue and possible sound effects are also included on the storyboard.  If no video equipment is available to your class, storyboards can the final step in the project.  In that case, students should present a very refined version of one.

The following are little exercises in creating dialogue.  Each page contains a scene out of a comic book, but possibly the students could relate with.  All dialogue and comments have been removed, so that the students have to brainstorm what dialogue might be spoken in each situation.
